Hi there! I have been a teacher for over 30 years. Teaching is my passion. Working with students 1:1 will give me further success as I will be able to meet the needs of a specific learner. I have been teaching remote kindergarten since March 2020, so I have plenty of remote teaching experience. Listed here are some quick facts about me. I have adapted quickly to remote instruction during school closures; used technology tools to maintain high learner engagement, including SeeSaw, ClassDojo, BrainPOP, and Google Classroom; converted printed educational materials to digital. ▪ Created engaging learning experiences, including hands-on, project-based, and, differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners; ▪ Utilized a variety of assessment tools and used data to drive instruction. ▪ Communicated effectively with all stakeholders, including administrators, colleagues, parents, and students; collaborated in grade-level teams to share curriculum and solve problems. ▪ Built lasting positive relationships with students and parents; regularly assigned children with behavioral difficulties because of patience, empathy, and ability to create strong rapport quickly. ▪ Assisted with planning school and community events such as family STEM nights, math nights, movie nights, and staff barbeques. ▪ Helped plan and execute school-wide art projects such as a rock garden and inspirational décor. ▪ Incorporated play-based learning for early learners; “transformed” classroom décor to themes such as an Italian restaurant or a football field to practice ELA and math learning objectives. All children love to learn. As teachers, we need to listen to our students and take the lesson from there.
